TONYC Festival 2023: Troupe Performance: Rapid Response: Scenes from "1-800-Keep-Ur-Crib"
Update as of Friday, September 29, 12:40pm ET: Rapid Response's 1-800-Keep-Ur-Crib Performance has been cancelled due to inclement weather. As of right now, TONYC is planning to proceed with Saturday's scheduled festival lineup. We hope to see you there!
Join Rapid Response for excerpts from 1-800-Keep-Ur-Crib, a forum play in response to the eviction crisis facing New Yorker’s at the end of the eviction moratorium. TONYC’s Rapid Response troupe launched in 2018 to provide monologues and scenes to rallies, demonstrations, hearings and other actions. The troupe combines actors from other TONYC programs to create scenes addressing a range of experiences including housing instability, immigrant rights, and employment discrimination, and racial injustice.
