The cost of running a single Forum Theatre Troupe is $36,000 per cycle! This means it would take selling 100 tickets at $360 each to fund the full cycle of a single Troupe — and that’s before factoring in the costs that support our administrative staff, office space, and more. TONYC runs up to 12 play-building cycles annually. That's 12 cycles of paying for transportation costs, props and costumes, actor stipends and metro-cards, Joker wages, and everything else that makes our performances possible!

Historically, TONYC has been primarily supported through foundation and government grants. However, in recent years we have experienced a dearth of new funders, despite applying to more grants than ever before. Community support for our work is vital in ensuring that we are able to continue working toward a more just city for all. A donation of any amount will have a direct impact on our work across New York City and the world.
