Jun. 10, 2024

Theatre of the Oppressed NYC (TONYC) has a workspace in midtown Manhattan with one large, private office space and one open floor room available to rent.

Are you a theatre-related non-profit organization (with 501c3 status or fiscal sponsor)? Looking for quiet office space, accessible 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, smack in the middle of the city, in a space dedicated to theatre? Rent from Theatre of the Oppressed NYC!

The space available for rent includes the Mincey Room, private creative space located inside the TONYC suite, just four blocks from the 42 Street-Port Authority Subway Station and a nine minute walk from the Times Square Subway Station. It offers exceptional privacy, plentiful amenities, and a low rental price to help your work soar. It can accommodate up to 25 people and includes Wi-Fi, a projector and in-room monitor, writing utensils, 22 chairs and a foldable table (customizable to your needs), storage cubbies, a coat rack, hand sanitizer and face masks, cleaning supplies, modern HEPA air filtration, a self-care station with fidget toys and craft supplies, and more. It also includes office desks and complimentary access to a shared pantry, which features a sink, fridge, microwave, and trash and recycling receptacles, and one gender-neutral bathroom that renters share with TONYC.

About TONYC: We partner with community members at local organizations to form theatre troupes. These troupes devise and perform plays based on their challenges confronting economic inequality, racism, and other social, health and human rights injustices. If your work involves community-engagement or social justice too, you'll feel right at home!
