This year, TONYC is excited to form a new theatre troupe, and launch a new Legislative Theatre process, with young women and gender nonconforming youth of color from all over NYC! Any young person of color age 25 and under, who identifies as a women or nonbinary, is welcome to apply. We will devise a play that may address racial justice, gender justice, and education justice. A three-week summer intensive will lead to public performances, advocacy, and Legislative Theatre in the fall. Read on for more information and to apply!

Use theatre as a tool to disrupt and dismantle the School-to-Prison Pipeline in New York City

Starting July 17 ending August 2
Rehearsals: Tues, Wed, Thurs, 2 - 5pm 
at the Theatre of the Oppressed NYC Office, 
758 Eighth Avenue, New York, NY

Performances in August, September, and October Paid, snacks and metrocards also available. No previous theatre experience necessary!
