Theatre of the Oppressed NYC (TONYC) has affordable workspaces in Manhattan's Theatre District with one large, private office space and two open floor rooms available to rent.
TONYC’s suite is a private creative space located just four blocks from the 42 Street-Port Authority Subway Station and a nine minute walk from the Times Square Subway Station. It offers exceptional privacy, plentiful amenities, and a low rental price to help your work soar.
All spaces include Wi-Fi, a projector and in-room monitor, Meeting Owl, writing utensils, chairs and folding table (customizable to your needs), storage cubbies, a coat rack, hand sanitizer and face masks, cleaning supplies, modern HEPA air filtration, and more. It also includes complimentary access to a shared pantry, which features a sink, fridge, and microwave, and one gender-neutral bathroom that renters share with TONYC.
The space may be shared with TONYC staff or private as needed and available during the rental.
The TONYC suite is ADA accessible with no steps, an elevator, (space can only be entered via elevator) and an accessible restroom.
About TONYC: We partner with community members at local organizations to form theatre troupes. These troupes devise and perform plays based on their challenges confronting economic inequality, racism, and other social, health and human rights injustices. If your work involves community-engagement or social justice too, you'll feel right at home!

Restricted Activities:
TONYC’s space is designated for office use only. Please refrain from making noise that may cause disruption to building tenants, especially outside of business hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm). This could include activities like singing accompanied by amplified music/musicians and tap dancing. Please speak with the Operations Director if you are unsure.
