TONYC Office Location & Accessibility

Theatre of the Oppressed NYC is located at 758 8th Ave in midtown Manhattan, between 46th St and 47th St. Click here for Google Maps directions and find nearby transit options below.

Entrants are granted entry into the building from the sidewalk by pressing one of two buzzers. Please reach out to us at [email protected] with specific accessibility needs or accessibility-related questions.

• The buzzer marked "Theatre of the Oppressed NYC" rings in our staff office.
• The buzzer marked "Mincey Room" rings in our meeting room, where we typically hold community meetings or workshops. 

The TONYC office is ADA accessible with no steps and an elevator. (Please note that it can only be entered via elevator, not via stairwell.) It has an accessible restroom.

By Bus: Take the M20 or M104 to the 8 Ave/W 46 St stop; the M11 to the 9 Ave/W 46 stop; or the M50 to the W 50 St/8 Ave stop. Please note that the latter two stops require a ~4-6 minute distance without transit to the TONYC office.

By Subway: Take the N, R, or W train to 49 St station; the 1 or 2 train to the 50 St station; the A, C, or E train to the 50 St station; or the A, C, E, N, Q, R, W, 1, 2, 3, or 7 train to 42 Street—Port Authority Bus Terminal. Please note that all of these stops require a ~4-6 minute distance without transit to the TONYC office.
