This is Not a Date: Pride 2025
Back by popular demand! This is Not a Date: Pride Edition is for queer connection-making. LGBTQ+ folks invited to see if sparks fly at this Theatre of the Oppressed (T.O.)-based social mixer. All are welcome, including those with no T.O. experience.
Looking to make new connections with artists and activists? Interested in romance, new friends, new collaborators or comrades? This is Not a Date is for you. Join us at the BOYFRIEND Co-Op on June 25th to play a selection of T.O. games, enjoy some light refreshments, and chat about what we want from our relationships of all kinds, before we break off into one-on-one pairings to get to know each other. It's like speed dating with less pressure and more Magritte.
You don't have to be single to attend! This event is for connection-making in all forms.
Registrants will be asked to complete a questionnaire emailed by the facilitators prior to attending (to help us better match-make!).
Facilitators: Philip Santos Schaffer (they/them) & Harrow Sansom Choi (they/them)
Tickets (support TONYC's ongoing programs!): $20 Early Bird (until June 15th), $30 Regular
Your ticket gets you in the door; every drink you purchase helps us meet our bar commitment and keeps our programs thriving —so raise a glass (or mocktail) with us!
