TONYC Volunteer Orientation
TONYC is holding an open volunteer orientation in our DUMBO office for new volunteers who have never worked with us before and for experienced volunteers who want a refresher and an overview of our new volunteering structure. [Note: this event has been rescheduled from Saturday, February 18th]
The day will be broken into 3 one-hour long sessions (listed below). You are welcome to come for the entire day or to just one or two sessions. After you RSVP, please email Devyn at [email protected] to specify which session(s) you will be attending.

12pm-1pm
Down to the Details
This session will focus on volunteer responsibilities that center numbers, facts, and quantifiable data. Great for those who are meticulous and detail oriented. We'll be going over and practicing tasks including intervention documentation, documentation of audience resources.
1:30pm-2:30pm
People People
This session centers volunteer responsibilities involving person to person interaction, including front of house, donations and fundraising, and social media for shows and events.
3pm-4pm
Tune In & Turn Out
This session is made for volunteers with community organizing backgrounds, and will cover responsibilities including potential policy documentation, policy research, quantifying social justice efforts and and partnership building at our shows, and community engagement about advocacy, campaigns and movement work.
