TONYC Set to Present ASHTAR Theatre's "The Gaza Monologues"
Nov. 18, 2023ASHTAR Theatre has launched an urgent request to its friends and theater-makers around the world to publicly read or perform "The Gaza Monologues" — testimonies written by ASHTAR youth in 2010, highlighting the fears, hopes, and resilience of Gazans — on Wednesday, November 29th, The International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. Theatre of the Oppressed NYC has heard the call and will be presenting a reading that evening. Please join us on the 29th from 7-8:50pm at The People's Forum's Cinema Room (320 W 37th St, New York, NY 10018) to hear a selection of the monologues performed live in English, Arabic, and Spanish, followed by a brief discussion to identify activism resources and organizing opportunities.
