On December 2nd, TONYC’s Rapid Response troupe, in partnership with Radical Evolution and Jana Natya Manch (Janam), performed a street theatre piece in support of PSC, the union representing 30,000 faculty and staff at CUNY.

Yesterday afternoon, Rapid Response performed "(Dis)orientation: A People’s CUNY" at Governor Kathy Hochul's Midtown office in support of a strong contract at CUNY Central and a fully funded CUNY. 

TONYC’s Rapid Response troupe launched in 2018 to provide monologues and scenes to rallies, demonstrations, hearings and other actions. The troupe combines actors from other TONYC programs to create scenes addressing a range of experiences including housing instability, immigrant rights, and employment discrimination, and racial injustice.
