Meet Madison Kitchen, TONYC's new Special Events & Communications Intern!

Jul. 05, 2017

Hi TONYC Community! My name is Madison Kitchen and I am so excited to be TONYC's new Special Events & Communications Intern.

I’m a rising junior at New York University where I am pursuing a BFA in Acting with minors in both Applied Theatre and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies, with hopes to one day become a Drama Therapist. I also recently received my 200 Hour Yoga Teaching Certification here in New York City.

In the past, I worked in Community Engagement at NYU and in Donations Development with Housing Works. I’m from Denver, Colorado, but I’ve lived a lot of different places because I’m from a military family. Back at home, I have two dogs, one of whom used to be in training to be a Guide Dog for the Blind. I also have a cat named Kat who I love so much that I now have wide assortment of cat-clad-clothing in her honor. I’m incredibly passionate about social justice, equality, and cupcake recipes.

I spend my days thinking of ways to make creative change in the world around me, particularly through the outlets of yoga and dramatic art. You can find me twirling through Central Park holding an obscenely large coffee and making plans to change the world with TONYC!
